Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

From Dumbledore, Harry learns that he must use his connection to the new potions teacher, Professor Slughorn, in order to obtain important information that the professor does not want to reveal. The task is hard enough, but is made even more difficult since Harry has become consumed by his suspicions about the dark deeds of Draco Malfoy and disturbing questions concerning Professor Snape -- not to mention his being preoccupied with Quidditch games and the romantic travails of himself and his friends. As the Death Eaters wreak havoc all around and Voldemort becomes stronger, Dumbledore continues to impress upon Harry the importance of his mission. Should Harry fail, they may never uncover the most important key to defeating Voldemort forever. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn’t counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Rupert Grint was born in Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire, the eldest of five siblings. His father, Nigel Grint, is a memorabilia dealer and ex-racecar driver, and his mother, Jo (Parsons), is a homemaker.

He has one brother, James (born in 1990), and three sisters: Georgina (born in 1993), Samantha (born in 1996) and Charlotte (born in 1999).

Before being cast in Harry Potter, he had only appeared in plays for school and his local theatre group, Top Hat Stage School.

As a young child, he was once cast as a fish in a play based on the story of Noah's Ark.

Grint playing the part of Ron Weasley.A self-proclaimed fan of the Harry Potter book series, young Grint was interested in getting a role in the film. For his audition, he sent a video he made of himself, in which he dressed as his drama teacher, while rapping about how much he wanted the part and won the casting selection with it.

After completing the first Potter film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (released in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone), he appeared as Alan A. Allen in the British comedy film Thunderpants (2002).

In 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2007, he again starred as Ron Weasley in the Potter sequels Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Grint also starred in the coming of age story Driving Lessons with Laura Linney and Julie Walters (who has played Mrs. Weasley in the Harry Potter movies), which was released in the summer of 2006.

Also known for his radio and television voice-over work, he appeared as Nigel Molesworth of the Baggy Trousers series for BBC Radio 4 and voiced Peter Pan in a BBC documentary.

On 9 July 2007, Grint and fellow cast-mates Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson left imprints of their hands, feet and wands in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

While directing Prisoner of Azkaban, Alfonso Cuarón is reported to have gained the strong impression that Grint is "the likely future star out of the Hogwarts trio".

When not working, he enjoys learning to ride the unicycle, drawing/sketching, and playing golf.

Like Ron Weasley, he has stated that he has a fear of spiders.

With his earnings from the "Harry Potter" series, Grint purchased an ice cream van, and stated jokingly that if his career falls out after the end of the seven part series, then he'll still have the van.

According to Emma Watson from her interview with Conan O'Brien, it has all the ice cream and chocolate toppings in it.

Although he had wanted to be an actor for as long as he could remember, November had to convince his parents to allow him to pursue his dream. The schoolboy had been encouraged to try out for a 1999 British TV version of Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" but his mother and father opposed the idea. When the opportunity to audition for another of Dickens' youngheroes, this time "David Copperfield" (BBC, 1999), they relented. Surviving five callbacks, Radcliffe landed the role and earned glowing notices for his work. Di Shrieking Shack, mereka mendapati Voldemort membunuh Severus Snape dengan tujuan untuk menguasai kekuatan Elder Wand kepada dirinya sendiri. Dalam keadaan sekarat, Snape memberikan memorinya kepada Harry. Dari memori itu terungkap bahwa Snape selama ini berada di pihak Dumbledore, didorong dengan cinta seumur hidupnya kepada Lily Potter. Snape telah diminta Dumbledore untuk membunuh dirinya jika situasinya mengharuskan demikian; karena bagaimanapun juga hidupnya tidak akan lama lagi akibat kutukan yang terdapat di Horcrux Cincin Gaunt. Selanjutnya, terungkap pula bahwa Harry adalah Horcrux terakhir Voldemort, dan ia harus mati juga sebelum Voldemort dapat dibunuh. Pasrah akan nasibnya, Harry mengorbankan diri dan Voldemort melancarkan kutukan untuk membunuhnya. Kemudian Harry tersadar di tempat yang mirip dengan stasiun King Cross, dan Dumbledore mendatanginya. Dumbledore mengatakan bahwa Harry sebenarnya adalah pemilik dari Deathly Hallows, dan kutukan Avada Kedavra itu malah menghancurkan bagian dari jiwa Voldemort yang terdapat di tubuhnya. Pada saat ini Dumbledore memberikan pilihan pada Harry, apakah dia ingin meneruskan pada kematian, atau kembali hidup ke dunia. Harry memilih kembali ke dunia, dan tersadar. Pada akhirnya, setelah Nagini dibunuh oleh Neville, Voldemort kemudian terbunuh setelah mencoba menggunakan Kutukan pembunuh Avada Kedavra terhadap Harry. Kutukan itu berbalik menyerang Voldemort sendiri setelah Elder Wand menolak membunuh tuannya (Harry) sendiri.

Dalam kisah di akhir buku, pada tahun 2017, 19 tahun setelah Pertempuran di Hogwarts, Harry dan Ginny Weasley telah memiliki tiga anak bernama James, Albus Severus, dan Lily. Neville Longbottom telah menjadi guru Herbologi di Hogwarts. Ron dan Hermione telah memiliki dua anak bernama Rose dan Hugo. Draco Malfoy memiliki anak bernama Scorpius. Mereka seluruhnya bertemu di stasiun kereta api King's Cross, untuk mengantar anak-anak mereka bersekolah ke Hogwarts. HARRY HARRY COME IN HURRY!

Apa jadinya film keenam dari tujuh seri buku si penyihir yatim-piatu ini? Berikut fakta-fakta yang ada hingga detik ini.

Alfonso Cuaron yang berhasil membesut film ketiganya dengan sangat mengesankan, bersedia untuk kembali membesut Half-Blood Prince ini. Mike Newell (sutradara The Goblet of Fire - film keempat Harry) memang menolak untuk membesut seri kelimanya kemarin dan tak ditawari film ini.

Adegan yang melibatkan Hogwarts Express dilakukan di suasana berkabut di Fort William, Skotlandia.
Mundurnya jdwal rilis film ini sempat membuat heboh dan prasangka hasilnya akan menjadi buruk kontan muncul! Pemicunya memang karena aksi protes para penulis skrip Hollywood tempo hari. Alhasil, jadwal edar di 21 November 2008 diubah ke Juli tahun ini. Apakah akan menjadi buruk benar (persis film-film yang mengalami undur-jadwal lainnya)? Harry got a lot lot lot of fans out there, folks!
Film ini seolah-olah dijauhi para pemilik tangan emas. Gullermo del Toro, slah satu sineas mapan-artistik, menolak untuk mengarahkannya semata-mata karena Hellboy II: Teh Golden Army. Waks!
